The Permanent scientific committee for the International Congress on Deterioration and Conservation of Stone invites applications for the organization of the 15th edition of this leading conference in our field.
Applicants are asked to provide details listed in the application file and where necessary to engage with the committee on topics requiring specific discussions. The committee strongly encourages this conference to be held in a hybrid manner. Moreover, proceedings for the conference should be preferably published both electronically and in open access.
Another wish of the committee is to strategically select a series of Keynote talks that would be published in an indexed Journal, in promotional or open access. First contacts with the journals in question are encouraged. Moreover, a plan for posting online video recordings of these keynote talks should be considered. An option for this could be the ISCS from ICOMOS.
Further to this, we invite the organizers to consider holding a one-day PhD course the day before the conference begins. Many of the interventions could be based on expanded versions of the keynote lectures.
